CEU Workshops – Spring 2010
March 18, Toronto, ON – RMTCEUs is dedicated to providing CMTO approved workshops for Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario. Courses are taught in small groups so that each individual has an opportunity to receive more one-on-one instructions from facilitators.

As well, the small group dynamic allows for greater exchange of ideas among your peers.  Practical courses feature a significant amount of practice time allowing the therapists to thoroughly practice new techniques and ask questions when needed.

Here is a list of our upcoming  Spring 2010 workshops.

Muscle Energy - An Introduction to Basic Techniques

4 CEUs (category A - approved by the CMTO)

Sunday, April 18, 2010

$190 +GST

Toronto, ON  -  330 Dupont St. (at Spadina Rd.)

In this workshop you will review the basic principles and techniques of muscle energy using Reciprocal Inhibition and Post Isometric Relaxation. The focus is on improving the efficacy of your treatments and reducing your workload while decreasing the need for applying more painful, invasive techniques on the client.  MET can assist with fascial restrictions, reduce spasm and pain as well as restore joint mobility. With this technique, you will see immediate results in the client’s ROM, a reduction in pain and muscle tone.

We will explore a variety of specific releases for problematic and painful areas including:  piriformis, hip flexors, gluteals, the shoulder, pectorals, medial and lateral epicondylitis.

You will enjoy the benefit of working in small groups with colleagues, gain valuable information from other people's experiences and strategize treatment possibilities with input from peers.

Workbook with detailed pictures of all techniques included.
