CSMTA Fall Conference and AGM
June 24, Edmonton, AB – The Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Sports Massage Therapists Association (CSMTA) is proudly hosting this year’s Educational Conference and AGM in Edmonton October 22-24, 2010.

The conference will  be held at Ellerslie Rugby Park in Edmonton and overall breakdown is as follows:

  • On October 21, CSMTA will be holding certification examinations
  • On October 22, CSMTA Board meeting and AGM are scheduled
  • October 23-24 will consist of workshops and the CSMTA banquet featuring a number of guest speakers

RMTs do not have to be members of the CSMTA to participate.  CSMTA conference organizers have arranged for an excellent educational experience with several outstanding topics to choose from. All of the topics are highly relevant to any massage therapist and the skills gained can be put to effective use immediately!

Some topics that will be featured:

  • Mobilisations of Muscles of the Upper Body by physiotherapist Charlie Kelly
  • Sprains, Strains and other orthopaedic conditions by sports massage therapist Jonathan Maister
  • Pearls of sports massage experience, a workshop given by a panel of speakers…..and much more

The members of the Alberta chapter of the CSMTA will be hosting this conference and look forward to offering attendees some outstanding western hospitality.  Accommodation and transportation for out of town participants are currently being arranged and updates will be available shortly.

The Banquet will be another highlight, expected to attract several high profile athletes who will speak about the positive impact that massage therapy has had on their athletic careers.
