Canadian teaching presence welcomed abroad

June 25, Simcoe, Ont. – More doors are opening for Canadians interested in opportunities to present at international conferences and workshops.

For the first time, at the Fifth Annual World Massage Festival and Massage Therapy Hall of Fame held in Berea, Kentucky from June 17-21, a Canadian presenter was featured.

The festival, held at Berea College, was open to the general public, other therapists and instructors.  It was a fun-filled weekend of networking, job searching, learning and honoring both past and present leaders in the massage therapy industry.  Canadian massage therapist and instructor, Paul Lewis, BA, RMT, was on hand to present and according to organizer, Mike Hinkle, he is the first and only Canadian presenter at the Festival.

Paul Lewis is a Toronto-based RMT who shared his broad academic knowledge and in-depth clinical experience at his workshop titled, Uniting Chair and Table Massage.

Paul Lewis is also the first Canadian to have been invited to teach in Great Britain at the CamExpo in England, October 23-24, 2010, demonstrating that international teaching and speaking opportunities are becoming ever more accessible to Canadian RMTs.
