New research journal for pain management specialists

Feb. 4, London, UK - FutureMedicine Ltd has today announced the launch of Pain Management – a new bimonthly title that will present findings, analysis and commentary on the battle with acute and chronic pain.

Pain Management content will provide guidance to the multidisciplinary pain management community regarding the most effective pain strategies. Each individual reacts to pain in a different way, creating unique challenges in appropriate classification and treatment. Pain Management will provide a key resource for physicians and other professionals when navigating these uncertainties to provide optimal treatment.

The editorial direction of Pain Management is the responsibility of senior editors, Prof. Andrew S. Rice (Imperial College London) and Prof. Martin Grabois (Baylor College of Medicine). The senior editors are supported by a team of six associate editors, together with an advisory panel of more than thirty international experts.

Senior editor Andrew Rice said; “This new journal will provide an original medium to diffuse innovative contributions in the changing world of clinical pain management.”

Grabois and Rice, both went on to comment that “Pain Management will present findings, analysis and commentary on the battle with acute and chronic pain”.

Elisa Manzotti, editorial director at Future Medicine, said,“There has been a phenomenal response to requests for manuscript submissions by Andrew Rice and Martin Grabois, indicating how much interest there is in this exciting field.”

Manzotti went on to describe, “Pain Management will comprise topical, concise articles bringing together all disciplines of pain management. All submitted articles will be subjected to rigorous and constructive peer review by at least three independent referees.”
