The CMTO is in the process of redesigning the Quality Assurance (QA) program and the proposed amendments will allow greater flexibility to select new assessment tools that better reflect best practices, CMTO said in a statement.

At its Feb. 14, 2017, meeting, CMTO’s council approved the proposed regulation changes, which will act as the foundation for the redevelopment of the QA program.

An easy-to-read version of the proposed amendments to the regulation and a comparison chart outlining the rationale for each amendment now available from the CMTO’s website. CMTO notes that these documents use “member” instead of “registrant” as this is the language used in the legislation.

The CMTO is asking registrants to review the proposed amendments and complete the survey no later than April 24, 2017.
