Manitoba’s massage therapy association appoints new executive director
The board of directors of the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba (MTAM) has appointed Sheila Molloy as its new executive director.
The MTAM said Molloy, who has more than 20 years of experience in business and marketing, will be tasked to lead the association in its efforts to advance the massage therapy profession in Manitoba and serve its 850 members.

"Molloy brings over 20 years of experience in strategy, marketing and
operations to the MTAM," the association said in a statement. Her
previous post includes serving as the executive director of the
Associates of the Asper School of Business: a membership-based, external
foundation of top Canadian executives who support the school.
She
holds a bachelor of commerce (honours) degree with distinction from the
University of Manitoba and a diploma in creative communications, with a
major in advertising and minor in public relations from Red River
College in Winnipeg.
For more than 15 years, Molloy has been the
owner and principal consultant of Molloy & Associates, a marketing
and business development consulting firm that works with clients in
Canada and the U.S. She is also a partner/owner of In This Corner Boxing
Fitness Centre in Winnipeg.
In 2004, she was inducted as a
lifetime member to Beta Gamma Sigma the international business honour
society. She has served as director on the board of the Manitoba Amateur
Boxing Association, and currently is a director on the board of the
Western Canada Aviation Museum.
Molloy is an active member of
the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise, Winnipeg Chamber of
Commerce, AssentWorks MakerSpace and Prototype Facility, and the Women
Business Owners of Manitoba. She has been a volunteer with the United
Way Winnipeg since 1992, including campaign cabinet in 2010.
Molloy replaces George Fraser who has served the MTAM executive director for over 10 years.
