Humber College launches unique yoga program for fitness and health professionals
Humber College is now offering the Yoga Exercise Specialist Certification – a two-part Hatha Yoga-based program aimed at preparing the participant to teach yoga in the fitness and health industry. Part 1 aims to teach the following: over 50 postures, warm ups and variations; knowledge to integrate yoga into private training and group exercise programs; meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques; and a basic understanding of yoga history and philosophy.
The course is aimed specifically at at giving fitness and health professionals the tools they need to integrate yoga into their daily businesses. It was created with the understanding that yoga is a practice that is valuable to include in many health and wellness professions, regardless of whether you are a full time yoga teacher or not.
This course runs on Saturday June 2nd and 9th from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
