The three new locations are in Toronto, Brampton and in Saskatoon – which opened in June inside a retail mall, “with high drive-by traffic counts and great visibility.” The Saskatoon location is headed by Andrew Chandra, a personal trainer with extensive experience in the health and wellness industry.

The new location in the Toronto Beaches area opened in July and is operated by Carolyn Scharf, an advertising-executive-turned-spa-owner. Scharf “was attracted to the spa industry, specifically with its focus on health and wellness, and with the aging demographics.”

The 25th Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa location, owned by Sandra Mather and Steve Simic, opened September 18 in Brampton at the Trinity Common Plaza, a busy retail complex.

H & S Massage Spa Canada Corporation is a member of the Canadian Franchise Association and is the master licensee for the Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa brand in Canada. Initially founded in 2004 in Toms River, NJ, the concept was developed in response to the rising national need for professional massage therapy and being able to provide it at convenient times and locations with affordability in mind. There are currently more than 300 Hand & Stone locations in the U.S. and 25 locations in Canada, with new spas opening every month.
