Evanston, IL – The Massage Therapy Foundation and the editorial board
of the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
(IJTMB) are pleased to announce that the IJTMB is now indexed in PubMed
PMC is the free digital archive of full-text articles appearing in the biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) developed and managed by NIH’s National Center for Biotechnology Information in the National Library of Medicine.
“This is a very proud moment for the IJTMB and the Massage Therapy Foundation,” said Dr. Glenn M. Hymel, Executive Editor of the IJTMB. “The journal’s inclusion in PubMed Central provides the most immediate and complete full-text access to all articles appearing in current and past issues of the IJTMB. Now, our contributing authors are guaranteed optimal circulation of their published work, and the massage/bodywork community at large is ensured a most highly regarded repository for preserving our professions’ scientific advancements."
This inclusion means that now when you search www.pubmed.gov, you can locate IJTMB articles in your search. The IJTMB’s presence in PMC extends from its inaugural issue of August 2008 to its most current issue and all future issues. Additionally, the articles are all free-access and available to anyone. Immediate access to the IJTMB’s sector on PMC is available via the following URL http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/journals/1468/
If you are not familiar with IJTMB, it is an online, peer-reviewed, open access scientific journal for the therapeutic massage and bodywork profession, and is available free of subscription fees and contributing author charges. The journal publishes articles on research, education, and practice.
IJTMB is provided by the Massage Therapy Foundation. Please consider sharing your professional insights with all of our colleagues with a manuscript submission to the IJTMB at www.ijtmb.org.
