The Massage in Schools Program is a child-centred massage program where a qualified instructor goes into a classroom and leads the children in a seated chair massage with a partner who is one of their peers.

Oct. 1, Montreal, Que. – The Massage in Schools Program is a child-centred massage program where a qualified instructor goes into a classroom and leads the children in a seated chair massage with a partner who is one of their peers.
This program has been shown to lower stress levels in the children involved, leading to better concentration at school and improved sleep patterns. It has also been seen to decrease instances of bullying and helpchildren learn empathy.
The program was conceived and initiated by two inspirational women in Sweden and has now branched out internationally. Instructors and programs can be found in a number of countries worldwide, including Canada. In Canada, programs are currently available in Montreal, Quebec City, and Winnipeg.
In this two day course, you will be taught the background and benefits of the program, the MISP massage routine and how to implement it. This course is well-suited for massage therapists, early childhood educators, teachers, school nurses, parents or anyone else who works with children.
