Massage on the move… touch transcends

For the last 18 years, I have been doing and teaching chair massage around the world, and it has been a profound experience to see how touch transcends culture!

There are many different kinds of massage practices: Open an office and have people come to you, work in a spa, or do out calls. There is a more rare approach that I would like to share with you: Voyage Massage!

For the last 18 years, I have been doing and teaching chair massage around the world, and it has been a profound experience to see how touch transcends culture!

What I have discovered is that we are first and foremost human beings, and THEN: Swiss, American, Russian, French, Venezuelan, etc!

Each weekend I teach a chair massage course in a different country, and have for the last 12 years, primarily in Europe, but also in the Eastern European countries, and Dom Tom (French colonies of the Indian Ocean).

The cultures change drastically from one country to another, but it is amazing to observe how communicative the sense of touch really is. I am often amongst people that don’t speak a word of French or English (the only two languages I speak), yet through touch, throughout the weekend, we are able to have an exchange and experience a sense of closeness!

The career of massage practitioner or therapist is such a privileged profession; helping others is highly rewarding; and making a living doing what we are passionate about, and being our own boss is incredible! But for those of you who love to travel, adventure and cultural discovery, I encourage you to take your show on the road! There are many opportunities to massage around the world: cruise lines, Spas in different countries, ski resort hotels, etc. Travel through touch is a dream that you can make into a reality! If that is your dream – I encourage you to go for it!
