March 18, 2014 — The National Accreditation Planning Committee for the massage therapy profession has launched its new website, www.mtcfa.ca , further galvanizing the massage therapy industry's push towards national accreditation for the profession.
March 18, 2014 By Massage Therapy Canada staff
The website will serve as the primary source of information and
communication on the development of the Massage Therapy Council for
Accreditation and the accreditation process for massage therapists in
Canada.
The new site ensures all stakeholders have complete
access to announcements, events and updates, according to the founders
of accreditation initiative: Randy Ellington of the Canadian Council of
Massage Therapy Schools; Lori Green of the Canadian Massage Therapist
Alliance; and Corinne Flitton of the Federation of Health Regulatory
Authorities of Canada.
The launch of the website is one of the
recommendations outlined in the National Accreditation Planning
Committee’s report resulting from a multistakeholder consultation that
took place in Toronto last fall.
The full report from the committee can be viewed here.
