City of Edmonton to change massage regulations
Sept. 15, Edmonton, AB – The CBC has reported that the city of Edmonton wishes to regulate its massage industry by establishing separate licensing categories for RMTs and workers in adult body rub shops.

“Legitimate therapists,” the article states, “that is, those who perform massage for health and wellness reasons, are recognized by legitimate organizations and have the necessary training, will face fewer restrictions in obtaining a business license.”
