Massage Addict expands to 50 clinics across Canada
Massage Addict has launched its latest clinic in Milton, Ontario – marking its 50th clinic opening since the franchise was launched in 2008 in Halifax, N.S.
The new Milton location is conveniently located at 1130 Steeles Avenue East, in the same plaza as SportChek, Indigo, Canadian Tire and Walmart.
"At Massage Addict you can expect quality massage therapy from registered massage therapists (RMTs) at affordable prices," said Claire Gavin-Ross, RMT, head of RMT development and communications for Massage Addict Canada.
In 2012, having only six locations, Massage Addict appeared on the TV show Dragon's Den. The decision to turn down the three Dragons' offers, after the show had aired, was due in large part to projected organic growth of the Franchise, according to the company. Since then, Massage Addict has grown to 50 clinics and expects to add another 10 by the end of the year.
"Massage therapy has always been a big part of my life," said Sonia Vicinanzo, Massage Addict Milton franchisee. "I am absolutely thrilled to be part of a growing business in both an industry and a community I love." The Milton clinic is open late and on weekends, plus it offers online booking and same-day appointments.
Health care is the fastest growing industry in Canada and massage therapy is a leading non-traditional form of therapy in health care, the company said.
"There are countless benefits to receiving a monthly massage, from relaxation to injury recovery to pain management," said Fraser Clarke, CEO of Massage Addict. "We are very excited to open our 50th clinic. Milton is an important town in the Halton Region and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the community."
Massage Addict is a member of the Canadian Franchise Association. The company's 50 clinics and over 550 experienced RMTs help over 30,000 Canadian's feel great each month. Types of massages offered include Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone and prenatal. All clinics offer same-day appointments, direct billing to most insurance companies, and they're open evenings and weekends. Massage Addict is 100 per cent Canadian owned and operated with franchise opportunities available in most provinces.
