International fascia conference to present latest research on human, animal fasciae

Presentations will include the latest and best scientific research on
human and animal fasciae in all its forms and functions. The principal
focus of the conference is to bring scientists and clinicians together
in the interest of furthering understanding of the unique role of fascia
in health. The FRC provides high quality conference settings where
these usually diverse groups can learn from one another, gain insights
that will inform and enrich their respective pursuits, and advance
scientific inquiry and applied methods.

The Congress program
includes workshops and panel discussions on fascia and pain, sports
medicine, embryology and genetics, functional anatomy, imaging and
measurement technologies, and more.

On
Thursday, September 18th, the Fascia Research Society will present,
“Understanding Research Fundamentals for the Congress and Beyond.” This
workshop will prepare participants to engage more completely in the FRC.
Beyond the Congress, those in attendance will be better able to
understand and utilize research results and be more prepared to pursue
research in the future, should they so choose. This pre-Congress
workshop can be registered for independently of the Congress, and has a
$35 registration fee.

The upcoming Congress will include a
special one day event on "Fascia, Acupuncture and Oncology" chaired by
Helene Langevin of Osher Institute, November 14, 2015, at Harvard
Medical School conference centre. This joint conference is a
collaboration among the Fascia Research Society, the Society for
Integrative Oncology, and the Society for Acupuncture Research. 

Registration for the FRC is now open. Members of the Fascia
Research Society receive a $100 discount off Congress registration. The
conference fee includes all presentations and workshops from Friday,
September 18 through 2:30pm, Sunday, September 20. Workshops are
available pre- and post-congress, at an additional fee.

This
year’s Congress is the fourth meeting of the Fascia Research Congress,
with previous Congresses held in Boston, Amsterdam and Vancouver. The
Fascia Research Congress was created by a multidisciplinary committee of
basic science researchers and practicing health-care professionals,
whose respective fields share a common focus and interest in the body’s
soft connective tissue matrix.

The 2015 Congress is hosted by the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation.
