Techniques and procedures for RMTs
Feb. 4, Markham, Ont. – The Ontario School of Osteopathy and Alternative Medicine invites RMTs to participate in its upcoming accredited continuing education courses in palpation-assessment and soft tissue techniques.

Palpation and Assessment I – January 30 and 31, 2013
This course will review clinical procedures
for interviewing a patient, physical assessment according to orthopedic
Principles, neurological assessment, and bio-mechanical assessment, all within
the framework of “form determines function” model of classical osteopathy. The
student will learn how to identify patterns of symptoms by palpation according
to osteopathic principles.

Tissue Techniques – February 16 and 17, 2013
Osteopathic manipulative treatment provides an
alternative diagnostic and therapeutic tool for the physician. Learning
osteopathic manipulative techniques allows for a more accurate diagnosis and
provides an additional form of treatment. This course introduces clinicians to
the field of osteopathic medicine and teaches them skills in multiple
hands-on workshops.
Both courses offer 8 Category A CEUs.
