Thai facial stem massage

Thai people developed the Herbal Stem healing method centuries ago, incorporating herbs, essential oils and other ingredients and used them as poultices. Background History
Thai people developed the Herbal Stem healing method centuries ago, incorporating herbs, essential oils and other ingredients and used them as poultices. They have discovered the dynamic value of hot or cold compress therapy with oils and/or herbs as one such method which the body savours. Thais, like many others, recognize that we need nourishment in all forms; Mind, Body and Spirit.

While we discussed Thai Stem Body massage last issue, we will now focus on the Thai Stem Facial massage.
The Thai stems are imported from Thailand. They are all-natural using herbs and essential oils and other pure ingredients, then wrapped in unbleached cotton and vacuum sealed generally in sets of two.

The Thai Stem Facial treatment can be performed on its own or in combination with other treatments such as Body Wraps or Facials. The treatment time using the Facial Stems would be approximately 45 minutes.

Before application, the therapist uses a gentle pressure on the face and scalp, focusing on the Marma Points. (Marma points are junctions between the physical, astral and causal bodies.) Meanwhile, the Thai Facial Stems are being steamed or cooled (selection dependent) to release their natural oils and therapeutic properties.

The Facial Stem compresses are then applied in a gentle stroking method fostering a completely soothing and tranquil state. The cotton has a slight exfoliation action and softens and prepares the skin to take in the nourishing properties of the stem. It is an incredibly relaxing and healing treatment for the skin.

Benefits of Tai Stem Facial Massage

Different skin types require different stem selection. There is a choice of: Coconut, Sesame or White Clay. The natural oils, specific ingredients and aromatics can benefit in many ways; treating mature, dry or irritated skin, reducing puffiness and swelling or acne prone and problem skin types. They can also aid in relief of insomnia, sinus congestion and headaches.
