2013 International Massage Therapy Research Conference
Mar 4, Evanston, IL – There’s still time to register for the 2013 International Massage Therapy Research Conference to be held in Boston, Mass. from April 25-27.

Presented
by the Massage Therapy Foundation, this conference, formerly known as the
“Highlighting Massage Therapy in Complementary and Integrative Medicine
Research Conference,” will take place at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center.
A total of 19 CE credits are provided for attending the full three-day
conference.
Here is a
brief rundown of the conference agenda:
Day 1: How does massage work? Potential mechanisms
Day 1
will present research findings that help explain how massage therapy works
through physiological, psychological, and neurological mechanisms and discuss
what other research is needed to prove the efficacy of massage.
Keynote
presenter: Jeanette Ezzo, LMT, MPH, PhD
Day 2: Massage in the Community; Informing Public Health
Day 2
will emphasize the potential for community outreach programs to provide
research data through evaluation, and discuss program implementation
strategies.
Keynote
presenter: Leslie Korn, PhD, MPH, NCB, LMHC, RPE
Day 3: Next Steps in Massage Therapy Research
Day 3
will explore the current status of massage research in preparation for updating
and advancing the Massage Therapy Research Agenda.
