June 14, 2011 By Massage Therapy Canada
This course is designed for RMTs who would like to add Foot Reflexology to the techniques available to their clients. GoodLife Health Centres is offering a condensed version of the Foot Reflexology Certification course, based on the teachings of the Ontario College of Reflexology to RMTs.RMTs already have extensive training in health and wellness which allows Foot Reflexology to be taught in far less time than a certification course. Reflexology is already within the RMT’s scope of practice.
This intensive two-day course is designed to give RMTs the knowledge and hands-on experience to incorporate Foot Reflexology properly and confidently into everyday practice. (This course will not make you a Certified Reflexologist but will allow you to safely and accurately perform Foot Reflexology and use it to help your clients continue on their path to well being.)
The course will cover the following:
1. a brief review of foot anatomy;
2. a brief history of reflexology and zone theory;
3. general reflexology techniques;
4. foot and lower leg pathologies;
5. specific reflexology techniques, including the location of reflex points;
