NCCAM Report now available
March 9, Bathesda, Maryland - The National Centre for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CCCAM) has released its third strategic plan for determining priorities for future research for complementary and alternative medicine.

On February 4, 2011, NCCAM released this report, titled Exploring the Science of Complementary and Alternative Medicine: Third Strategic Plan, 2011-2015. The plan encompasses a series of goals and objectives that are meant to outline future directions for research in the complementary and alternative disciplines.
The report addresses a variety of issues that are relevant to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioners including improving the capacity of the field to carry out rigorous research, increasing integration of CAM therapies into mainstream health care and disseminating evidence-based information on CAM. It is available for downloading at http://nccam.nih.gov/about/plans/2011/
The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) is the U.S. Federal Government’s lead agency for scientific research on the diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are not generally considered part of conventional medicine.
