Nov. 24, London, Ont. – TMJ Mastery introduces a weekend course that has been designed to incorporate a student introduction to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) work along with a solid review for past graduates of the course.
This Student Intro and Review course will be offered for the first time from 9:00a.m. – 4:30p.m. on January 22 and 23, 2011 at the Wemple Lounge inside King’s University College, University of Western Ontario in London.
TMJ Mastery is an instructional workshop exploring intra-oral techniques used to treat masticatory dysfunction. The original course, an intensive overview with a practical component, normally runs for three days and includes a comprehensive study of the continuum of articular disc displacements and the techniques that may restore disc function or alter further degeneration. In Ontario, this course offers 12 CEUs – those in other jurisdictions are encouraged to check with their respective colleges regarding CEUs.
The newly established Student Intro and Review Weekend will dedicate a day to introduce massage therapy students to advanced principles in TMJ/intraoral topics that will enrich the original curriculum they have been exposed to in this area of practice.
The second day of the course, titled Past Participants Review, is an opportunity for those who have undergone the original TMJ Mastery course and wish to review its principles and practices without repeating the entire three day course.
